Penteract Audio Guide™ lets museums offer audio tours to their visitors at no expense to the museum1
. And lets visitors listen to the tours from the comfort of their own phones. It frees museums from the need to deal with audio devices, and helps museums be more accessible to the visually impaired.
Museums use our free apps to upload audio files and to create permits for visitors, either one per visitor or a persistent permit for all visitors (if the museum wishes to offer permits for free).
Visitors pay Penteract for a pass to use the app. But museums can give disabled visitors complimentary permits that don't require a pass, or make all
permits in that fashion. In those scenarios, the museum would be paying for the visitor's pass.
To start offering tours today please contact us at email@example.com
. And if there is a feature you would like to see added to the platform please let us know.
If you represent a U.S. museum, you might be required
to provide audio tours or an alternative in order to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
. Search for "audio description tours" on that page. (This is not legal advice.)
(And coming to iPhone/iPad soon.)
